All About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog! My name is Alexis, I go by Lexie. I am married to my husband of 2 years, and we are expecting our first baby in just a few short weeks. This blog will be about all things I love - which are the following in no specific order --

  • my husband
  • my dogs
  • my future baby
  • chips & salsa
  • traveling
  • ice cream
  • good food
  • ice cream
  • did I mention ice cream?
I am a lover of all things edible; in fact there really isn't much that I don't like. I love Mexican food, Thai food, Italian food, Filipino food, Chinese food....you get the point. And desserts...don't even get me started! I was raised by a mother that always said "You are never too full for ice cream - it just seeps in the cracks of your stomach." Amen, mom. Amen.

I have been fortunate enough to travel all around the world. I was raised in Arizona, lived in New York for a bit when I was young, and moved back to Arizona when I was in second grade. I spent 4 months living in Peru at age 17, meeting my family there for the first time, not knowing how to even speak to them. One of the best experiences of my life. At 19 I moved to the Philippines for a service mission for my church. I lived there for 18 months. Some of the best 18 months of my life. I have traveled to Mexico, California, Portland, Washington, Utah, and many other states. There is a special kind of education you can get from living among other people that have different cultures and traditions than you do. Some might even say it is quite magical. :)

The Inspiration Behind the Blog

These are my two dogs! The brown one is an Australian Shepherd Poodle, or an Aussiedoodle. Her name is Ruby. The white one is a mix of a Poodle and a Golden Retriever, or a Goldendoodle. His name is Max. Ruby is just 8 months old, and Max just turned 1 year old. Both are still in a puppy phase, which means they are extremely energetic and playful for about 20 hours of the day. We love them!
